The first thing that comes to a person’s mind about Kashmir is its beautiful valleys but terrorism has strongly affected the life in J&K. Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most beautiful place in our country and that’s why it is called the heaven of India. However, things have changed and there were lot of terrorism in the recent past especially after the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani. The terrorist activities had grown so fast in Kashmir in the recent past. People are living in fear in their own homes and tourists also don’t want to go to Kashmir.
However, PM’s sudden decision of Demonetization has stopped the terrorist activities as they have lost their black money funding through the cross border side. According to a government report, there was steady flow of Hawala money in the Kashmir through the Pakistan border in Gas cylinder. After the sudden decision of demonetization, this kind of Hawala money has stopped. They are not getting weapons and other requirements, as the old currency has now become a piece of paper. They can use these pieces of paper to burn and get warm in winter, now.
In Kashmir, youth was hired for throwing stones and joining terrorism. It became a new source of income for the uneducated and unemployed youth in Kashmir. They were getting paid accordingly their tasks, as Rs. 100-Rs. 300 to throwing stones at Indian army, Rs. 500-Rs. 1000 for stealing their weapon or grenade. I am not talking about all Kashmir youth but a big ratio of them had found that way to income. They were paid daily basis. Now they seem be jobless after demonetization drive.
Anti-National Leaders who were paying them for all these things, have stopped because they are unable to pay them, now. These misguided youth have lost their daily basis job. These stone platters were a serious problem since last 5-6 months. Now they have lost their job and moved to home. It is as “our PM has killed two birds with one stone and the stone is Demonetization.”
As we know, our PM has shot both black money and terrorism in Kashmir after declaring the demonetization Kashmir market is now open after a long time. J&K police has reported due to demonetization the backbone of the separatist network has broken. Now it will take time to build again their black money network. Demonetization has been heartily applauded by most of the Indians.
In the meanwhile, we all are happy for this revolution and feel proud to be a part of it. Our Jawans will take breath of relax now. Our honorable PM’s this decision has made noise for the black money holders & terrorists and generate peace in Kashmir.
