The Beginning of Ram Raj?
Intellectuals are highly amused by BJP’s act of making Yogi as the chief minister of Uttar
Pradesh. They feel he is like bone in BJP’s throat, which is hard to swallow and difficult to
vomit. Yogi’s hard-core Hindu image can either follow monarchy or cause anarchy to reach
its limits in Uttar Pradesh.
Stressing on his works gives a glimpse of immaturity, for example:
1. The formation of Anti Romeo Squad is inappropriate and it portrays orthodox thoughts and the typical mentality of a hermit, who does not let the others enjoy happiness which he cannot enjoy. Majority of the people who are lust stricken, can cross any limits if they see any woman even with their brother, spouse or friend, if they get support from the government. This squad should be dismissed, because if any crime occurs, only Yogi is responsible for that.
2. Giving undue powers to police and government officials is giving rise to corruption, which does not favour the country’s wellbeing. It is a way of limiting the country’s progress and pushing it backwards. One should be given the powers one deserves. If a mere servant is given powers beyond his capabilities, he starts thinking high of himself and forgets his status. Thus this can never favour the progress of the country.
3. The policy of providing food at subsidised rates was started by Late Jayalalitha, one of the most corrupt leaders, and it is said that this policy was only to nullify her sins. It is known that humans can keep a record of their good and bad deeds and hence try to balance them. Congress through their policies ruined the working capacity of the weaker section and Yogi following that path has provided them with free food, ruining their ability even to cook for themselves. A famous adage “Work is Worship” is not known to him, hence he is stopping people from working and he should himself give a thought to what is right and what is wrong.
4. Loan exemption up to 1 Lakh in Uttar Pradesh is not a solution to any problem. This money as interest free loan to the farmers would have been a better solution that could have been used to strengthen the economic stability of the country and for the development of infrastructure, but instead it is being wasted as amount given to beggars, which should never be given from the country’s treasure. No political party has the right to waste the government funds in this manner. The fact of the matter is, why isn’t the judiciary self-inspired by these happenings and is not punishing these people against these criminal offences?
